October 5-9
Speech
Now that we’ve tried a few solo pantomimes we’re ready to do some for grades. This week we’ll be doing two or more solo pantomimes as well as one or more group pantomimes. Remember back to how Marcel Morceau did his and how actions need to be exaggerated for the audience to be able to follow our intent. This week we’ll watch a few more examples of pantomime to help us visualize how it can be done. You did very well with your testimonies. Thank you. Progress reports will go home on Monday so be sure to take them to your parents.
English 11
You have a short revision piece due on Monday. Also, please read the three papers: best, good, needs improvement I provided you so you can see what makes for the best writing of this type. On Monday I will assign you a full length “first hand account” paper that will be due on Friday. We’ll also take our vocabulary test on Monday. In literature we’ll be moving forward in American history to writing done in the colonies. It will continue to show the influence of Christianity in that time. Progress reports go home on Monday.
Bible HS
On Friday you were assigned a concept map for chapter 15. It is due on Monday. We’re well on our way through chapter 16 and I expect we’ll finish it by Tuesday at the latest. Expect a test by Friday of this week. We’ll also expand the Scripture memorization two more verses this week. Don’t let down. Most everyone is doing great so keep it up. Bring drawing materials to class on Tuesday as we’ll be doing a pictorial presentation of chapter 16. Progress reports go home on Monday.
